March 10, 2014 – Union, New Jersey. Peerless, a family owned and operated beverage wholesaler is pleased to announce this March that it donated $10,000 to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. For the second consecutive year, Peerless has supported Corona’s “Each Corona Gets Us Closer to a Cure” campaign. This successful campaign helped raise more than $660,000 this year alone.

“We are thrilled to partner with Corona again this year and contribute to their efforts to get closer to a cure. Our team members and the company worked extremely hard to make sure to meet this goal. It is important to our company to give back in anyway we can.” Said Vice President, Chuck Salzman.

About the Foundation:

The V Foundation for Cancer Research, formed by ESPN and Jim Valvano in 1993. A relatively young organization, The V Foundation has a strong presence in the scientific community. The Foundation is guided by an elite, all-volunteer, Scientific Advisory Board who recommends the research projects funded. This Board is comprised of top physicians and research scientists from prominent universities and cancer centers throughout the country.
